Ich bin in Berlin

After many hours of delays, I am finally in Berlin. My long treks through two huge airports made me feel like I was walking to Berlin!

My first day of classes was very interesting. There are zwolf (12) Studenten in the two morning sessions and only vier (4) in the afternoon intensive class. They are all young enough to be my grandchildren!

Not one is from an English speaking country! Italy, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Columbia, and Switzerland are  all represented. It is like the United Nations. So far have not met any other Amerikaners. Already have Hausaufgabe (homework).

My studio Wohnung (apartment) is very large and nicely renovated. The street the school is on has lots of small shops and restaurants. On Samstag (Saturday) I will be able to explore.

Time to start the Hausaufgabe.

Tschüss (so long),

  1. I am printing out your blog and putting it in the library so everyone can read it. Bet you are really glad you checked luggage. All good at the lib. Still NOTHING on the trouble shelf. lol Stephen wants you to bring him a Deutche Mark. We all agree you need to bring home many lbs. of sausage and kraut.
